    Wow - Something know about

Oil is not a conductor of electricity, it doesn't contain charged particles.
Crude oil is used to make plastics, so you could consider it to be liquid plastic, and plastic definitely doesn't conduct.

Hope this helps - but why do you need to know this?

lots of high voltage switches are oil filled as it makes a great insulator and naturally supresses arcing when the contacts are made.

considered as liquid plastic? It's also used to make petrol and methane gas... etc
