I'm with Powergen, but also feel they're shafting me. Got my 2nd in letter in 6 months yesterday, saying that prices are going up.

    Sucks dick.

We only have leccy at our pad, and it's with Npower, don't think it's too bad at all. You get discount sign up promotion and all that malarky as well.

Now isn't a very good time to switch, although you may find a much cheaper quote several companies are still yet to announce price rises so you could be leaping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Some companies do offer to freeze the prices at the current rate if you pay a little extra though.

www.uswitch.com is a very good price comparison website for gas & elec.

There's a few more price comparison sites listed here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities

Every company supplying gas and electric are shafting exsisting customers.

I am in the process of switching to British Gas which i think may be a mistake, but my current supplier EDF are charging me a fortune every month.

When the sales people turn up at my door and show me what i should be using for the size of my house and the amount of people living there i'm paying over double what they say i should be.

Bastards, it must be the dog that is putting the price up so much more, he'll have to go.

I think like most things except girlfriends your need to change quite regularly to get the best offers, otherwise they just start to shaft you.

As another member stated uswitch is a good site but you will need all your gas and leccy usage to make it worth while.

i've started farting in jam jars, one day i may have enough to light a fag.

Too much! About £100 a month, trying to get it down at the moment by fitting energy saving light bulbs, making sure the TV's are switched off and not just on standby and unplugging the beer fridge when it's empty (not very often)
