Nothing could be simpler, although it's easy for me to say that because I do it all day long.

Make & model of router, and what are you trying to achieve?
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

Try pluggin your xbox into the router if you can (Make sure you are using a straight through cable from xbox to router), check that you've got dhcp enabled on the xbox mate, let the router assign an IP for it out of it's scope..or at least set it to a static IP that is within the routers IP scope.

Some routers aren't too clever when it comes to torrent/p2p software as it floods most of the available connections if you don't limit them, so worth setting a max connections limit for torrent type software within the router.

whoosh! Just gone right over me, I think it's because I have this infection, it's getting me down, and making me hate everything. I'm just going to breathe deeply and try again over the weekend.

    Don't mind me!

As Burner says, connect your X-Box to the router using a straight through cable.

With regards torrents, log in to your router and set up port forwarding to your PC.

dunno why but when left on automatic settings it assigned itself an incorrect ip.. set it up manually and it was fine..
