i think i broke me psp

help my girlfriend bought me a psp for xmas and i was out today and was network update and then the psp's battery died and i did not have the power lead in and now it wont start up i get a green light and no screen then after a minute or so it switchs itself off i was going to contact sony about this but what will i say to them i think it was orignaly a 2.01 but cant remeber it was defo a giga pack any help would be appreicated

it cant update without the power lead in.

leave the battery out then try it,
if that fails take the battery out, and plug in the ac and turn it on.

it is no good ok i was messing about doing a h*ck
and it said contact sony it never even done !% as it stayed on 0 then said contact sony and when i tried to turn it back on nothin anyway what will i tell sony wheni ring them as i just bought this at xmas

does it matter if dont have receipt as it was my girlfriend that bought it for me and she's lost it

You are dealing with sony they will be able to check the manufacturing date of the unit from the serial number and know if it is still in warrenty

you only need the recipt if your planning on returning it to the shop which I think should be where you take it but without the recipt you need to deal direct with sony.

What hack were you playing with to destroy your psp? GTA loader?
I tied that is got some strange results all unsuccessfull I had to really piss about with teh psp to get it to come on again plug it in to the mains to remove the chance the battery is flat aand hold the power switch in the up position for a while and see wha happens and just keep trying that maybe somthing will work?
