    Info site review

Hi folks, I have posted a martial arts web site and would appreciate some constructive critism, I have had a few technical probs with the site and have questions about how to do some things, would like ideas and opinions on making it more appealing to all or a better source if info without being cheesy. www.sen-no-kai.org.uk

    Looks ok at first mate.

However, I'm no expert on web design but I counted the phrase "sen-no-kai" 26 times on the opening page (27 if you include the contact email addy).

Given that the site is all about sen-no-kai anyway, wouldn't it be better (and perhaps obvious) if the phrase were omitted?

Eg.. (down the left hand side)

    Code:
    Sterling University
    Polmont
    Laurieston

    Courses
    Healing
    History
    Instructors
    Links
    .. rather than

    Code:
    Sterling University Sen No Kai
    Polmont Sen No Kai
    Laurieston Sen No Kai
    Sen No Kai Courses
    Sen No Kai Healing
    Sen No Kai History
    Sen No Kai Instructors
    Sen No Kai Links

Overall, looks like a useful site you have there mate

its ok... i agree with shambles..

the image in the top left is a bit poor and the grey circles background is a bit 90's.

the font is a poor choice, and consistency is poor throughout. eg italic text, green text, yellow boxes round yer links wtf?

menu needs to be imporved.. buttons instead of text or some kind of distinguising between the menu/links area and the content area... cos atm it all kinda merges together depending on what page your on.

oh and saying welcome to the lauriston whatever, without actually showing an image of the place sounds kinda daft.

and wtf is the point of the pcs thing down the bottom unless its a link to a site, not a bigger version of the same feckin image lol.

think thats all for now, ill add more later if i think of it

thanks guys, I use front page to create it and the reason I do not have buttons on the links is I could not get them to resize to fit the text, taking away all the se no kai as suggested might let them fit, I have a lot of learning to do with the software but appreciate the constructive critism as I sometimes get blinkered with my own ideas

    cheers
