Only 24000 allocation for final

There is only 24000 allocation to each team for the final. In a ground that holds 72500. I think everyone should make their views known on this by calling the FA to complain. I have done this and they say it is not official. Still worth the call to complain though as then it hopefully will intice them to give more to the teams.

Every club that takes part in the competition gets 2 tickets, The sponsors of the competition, the FA take a chunk you also need to remember that a huge number of the stadium capacity is in the boxes, some boxes have 32 seats per box I think some only 16 how many boxes? but there will be a few so you can knock at least 1000 seats off there possibly 3000

The worst part is that they take the tickets on the sides near the middle ok they are the expensive seats but they will also rip you off for the shite seats in the corners on the 3rd tier. Ohh and West ham should be thinking they are lucky they will have the south end which has more seats and more of the cheaper seats. not that I would expect the seats to be cheap.

I have sold tickets for the carling cup final and it can be an advantage to wait untill a week or so once the league ect have decided if they want all the tickets that have been put aside, if they dont they are given to the clubs so you can get better seats for holding on a bit but it takes balls to not get your ticket early.

Just read on the West Ham website that tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders and is unexpected to be available to club members. It also said that their is no chance of any being available for general sale.

What a suprise.

I wonder how many tickets will go to fat corporate directors to use just to impress clients who have no interest in football or the teams playing.

I must admit that its been a few years since i last went to a game, due to finances and family, but must have seen at least 200 home games in my time.

Looks like i'll be watching it on Sky this year.

Following our victory at Villa Park last Sunday, we are pleased to set out below details of our ticket allocation and selling arrangements for the FA Cup Final at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on 13 May 2006. We have been advised that we will receive an initial allocation of 23,500 tickets, possibly increasing to a maximum of 24,000. We are hopeful that this will be sufficient to satisfy demand from all bondholders and season ticket holders but accept that we are unlikely to be able to offer any tickets to club members or for general sale.
The size of allocation is a major disappointment, following the allocation of almost 34,000 for each of our two recent play-off finals, and we recognise that many of our loyal supporters will be unable to obtain tickets for this important game in the club's history. The ticket allocation is roughly the same for each of the two finalists.
For this event, the Millennium Stadium has decreed that no duplicate or replacement tickets will be issued. It is very unusual for venues to adopt such a strict policy but we are given to understand that it is a consequence of some abuse of the process for another event recently staged there. For this reason it will be necessary to despatch all tickets by Royal Mail's "special delivery" service, which guarantees 48 hour delivery and an ability to trace, at short notice, any mail which might go astray. None of the Royal Mail's other services offer an adequate level of security for documents of such value. Bulk despatch of special delivery items requires specialist software, which the club does not possess, and it would be unrealistic to attempt to undertake this process manually for up to 24,000 tickets.

I can understand when Rugby League finals are divided in this way cos teams there don't have the support to fill it on their own so the RFA take loads of tickets and distribute them to other clubs such as lower league clubs, but why the fook do the FA need 24,000 tickets? Disgrace.

Well i t dont matter how much we complain it falls on deaf ears, i spoke to the FA again and they said that only 6% goes t corperate, so where does the other 21000 go i asked and they said to all the families, press and clubs other the country. When i challanged that that would mean alot of people that dont even support either team would get a tcket and a fan wont she just said oh well nothing we can do about it. Its just a load of B****cks
