Been 6 years since I left contracting. Left when IR35 took hold.

Can't recommend any particular umbrella company but beware of IR35 and section 660 tax rules.

See shout99 for the professional contractors forum if you want 1st hand advice. Been a member for 6 years.

would also depend on the length of time you think you may be contracting.
any umbrella company is going to cost you money and sometimes they can be more hassle then there worth.

if you know its only for a short period then try and find recomendations as to which umbrella company.

if you think its going to be any longer it might well be worth srtting up your own LTD, you can buy em off the shelf for 100 nicker...
then you would need a sensible accountant to do the yearlys.

but to do it yerslef would work in your favour over the longer run.
