Easy to use slide show creator on dvd

Hello , My old man has just got a digital camera , I need some s/w that is easy to use to create slide shows of his pictures ( and maybe videos) on a dvd , any recommendations , cheers

proshow gold is one of the better ones or i think nero even has the facility

Yep Nero can do it, as can the free Microsoft photo story.

ULEAD is one of the best I've used
