Prompted by the relative large amount of 'Wrestling Freaks' posts I worry how many people on this forum (mainly aged 20+ from what I see) take WWE etc so seriously. Not that it is really any of my business what they like.

This is meant to provoke anyone, just wonder if I'm alone in this slight concern?

I used to love wrestling when i was a kid, i grew up and got some sense that it is utter bollox.

why? Most of the serious posts recently have been related to drug abuse and it's repurcussions. Sometimes people do get caught up in the drama of it all but that just means that the writers are doing a good job.

Most of the 20+ year olds grew up watching wrestling (and thundercats/transformers/he-man) through it's "glory days" and have just carried the interest on. Plus I like knowing what is going on and whats gonna happen so I appear like some kinda wrestling guru to the little lad.

If we are looking at somewhere to show concern I'd turn our attentions to the football section (which I stay well away from posting in) where some of the abuse and arguments are amazing and quite scary. Just look at some of the reactions to Chris Ronaldo (*cough*twat*cough*)

Why do you watch eastenders? thats all make believe, following the lifes of people scripted to say/do stuff?

Should it concern me the amount of people who feel the need to see how "such n such" copes with what ever plot they give em that week ?

'Worry' and 'concern' were perhaps the wrong words to express myself, I was going to say 'funny', but I didn't want WWE to feel I was making fun of them.

It is very entertaining stuff when there is nowt else on.
I remeber how entertained I was when they dropped Owen Heart to his death from 50 feet up after attempting a flash ring entrance much more entertaining than watching big daddy vs giant haystacks on Grandstand when i was a lil kid.

I tell ya what tho - i been watching TNA a fair bit since its been shown on "player".

I know it was on eurosport a few times but i always forgot - seen this sting vs jerret "lethal lockdown" build up - might be a few months old to some of you guys but i think its quite a good show on the whole.
