simple free photo editing software??

just looking to resize and change quality etc so i can upload my pics quicker, i'm only on dial up, so prefferably a smallish prog that doesn't sloooow my whole pc down like the behemoth photoshop i used to have

Microsoft image resizer does it for me on xp, piss to use, right click and pics sorted no problem.
