Default Retailers to buy from or avoid

    What do people think?

If you've had a good experience with one, or a bad one you could let everyone else know.

    Just an idea...

As in shops? I think you will find any store which everyone can relate to (large high street chain rather than family owned business) are safe enough to buy from as they will give you your full rights and more to maintain a good name.

Maybe others disagree with me but IMO it would be helpful about local retailers but not nationwide and we aren't all local. Peeps post bad experiences in the forum in the whine cellar etc.

    Good thinking though

I'm sure this has been mentioned before and due to possible legalities i.e slander or something then it isn't allowed.

As said, it's a great idea but not something that df needs to be wrangled up in.

    Hey

Urbsy hit it right on the head 100%.

I have enough to do on DF within the Legal Section and behind the scenes, without having to attend to a mound of potential Libel and Deformation Lawsuits/Threads.

Good idea in theory, just not practical within the framework of DF.

Could you not have a disclaimer?

The views and opinions of DF's members in no way reflect that of the sites owners etc?

    Hey

In an 'ideal' world and a less litiguous time, disclaimers served as to protect in many cases.

Unfortunately, depending on their application, they can in some cases offer no protection and give a false sense of security to the people trying to be shielded by them.

One of the biggest obstacles to overcome, would be the fact that by definition DF is a moderated forum and there in lies the difficulty of 'blanket disclaimers'.

The easier option to 'running the gauntlet' is abstinence.

But if you would like to underwrite any and all costs in any actions, please feel free to let me have a copy of an Indemnity Agreement and then we can call the new section.....CominAtcha's Libel Forum.....

    Hey

As there is no such thing as a FREE lunch, can you tell me how long lunch will be then I can prepare a Pro-Forma Invoice.

Travelling time is at Standard Hourly rate.
