    Default Block Internet Explorer

    Hello,

I am looking at a way of blocking IE on some Pc's but with out using any 3rd party software, I am sure there must be a reg setting or somthing,

Tried locking the desktops down but the crafty buggers have copied the shortcut to a shared drive and are launching it from there

I might be wrong but it is the same as explorer that you use to view drives or my documents etc so if you stop someone running it then they won't be able to use it for those purposes either

I have managed to get it blocked using content advisor and a no access rat file. Does anyone know how to change the message content advisor pops up.

I tryed to block internet explorer a while ago and could not find a decent way to do it without third party software.
I know use IELock, this allows you to completely block any web pages or redirect requests to a page of your choice until the password is entered.
And the best thing about IElock is that it is shareware and doesnt have any time limits. You can get it from the link below or any other good shareware website:

    1. Shareware aint a good thing... thats freeware.

    2. No time limit on the full version - but the trial one before purchasing...

You can download Simpliciti products and demos for a free, limited-time trial. When you see how these products reduce your company's liability while increasing productivity, we're sure you'll want to purchase the fully licensed product.
    Hehe - just a point - $25 is $25
