Printer problem

Please can someone help. I have an Epson Photo r300 printer with Jettec cartridges in and when i turn the printer on this morning all i get is an error message on the printer LCD screen saying Inkjet cartridges cannot be recognused. I have been using these cartridges for a long time with no problems. Please can someone help.

Change the cartridges? Use genuine ink?

All sorted now...took out the cartridges and reseated them and all now good. Genuine epson cartridges!!!!! you are laying a concrete....do you know how much they are!!!!
