    I had my cousin build it as he has a building company. I had quite a bit of work done to my house at the time, but I reckon it cost me about £10K but thats because it was done by a relative. It is 20 sq m. He normally charges about £16-£18K for a room of this size.

    The best thing is that we can stay there as long as we like and make as much noise as we like and we don't bother anyone. I have a tendency to shout out quite a bit when I play Pro Evo, so having this room doesn't interrupt the wifes or childrens sleep. Plus everyone knows how rowdy it gets during sessions!

    You've all got great setup's there but you are all let down by the little details

    Kryptonite - Nice TV, clean tidy setup. However the Xbox - No HD and not wireless??? Shows you do like to cut corners in an otherwise expensive looking setup!

    chubblies - Too 80's. Tape decks and potted ivy, Dear oh dear!

    What now - Too cluttered... A Mega CD and what looks like an black Amstrad hif??? Bonus points though for actually having a working inspire amp though!

    jonathant - Your picture shouts Cable tidy! And i think you will find that somewhere behind that center speaker is a much bigger LCD than you thought you had!

    crazyxboxman - Ultimate room spoilt by a VCR and a coffee table, settee's and rug that just don't match... love the flowery fluffy cuddle blanket!

    kizroll - Love the black 360... hate the butcher shop stripes (with matching blinds!)

    tbops - You've already admitted that you need a tidy up, However, I just love the way the wireless router it 3 inches away from the consoles

    No, when I bought the tv and it was on backorder because none of the pedestal stands were available so I got a universal one rather than wait for the Panasonic one

    Right, awsome points, this is the new metric system in this section....

    the clutter stays, it's more human. As for the rest, well, shamefully I've only JUST got a optical cable for the Inspire amp, it's been hardwired to the PC all this time. Now it's on the xbox and I regret nothing. It's not a good system but it's finally showing it's true colours.

    anyway, I've moved house, upgraded in that department but did lose a shoulder along the way! Now i'm partially recovered it's time to turn a bundle of wires which consumed a entire sofa into some form of operating setup. So, with a deep breath, an afternoon, some beer and a whole load of despiration for radiation, I set it all up;

    (note, large images, otherwise you can't see the intricacy of my boxes)
    Spoiler:

    Ok, we have here, with points (- or +)

    # xbox - Green, wireless pad, 120gb HD, Duo (well installed ), XBMC by default. 100+
    # dbox - useful for network streaming 50+
    # VCR - it's all my housemate has to add to the collection. total waste of space, not even wired in. Retro factor, but does involve rewinding. 75-
    # SNES - the best ever, end of. (and it's not yellowed!) 50+
    # SEGA MEGA CD and Mega Drive Combo - meh. 0
    # SEGA Saturn - Virtua Fighter. 25+
    # N64 - Don't mess with ninty. 25+
    # SEGA Dreamcast - No competition, it's a damn fine console and worth of a power plug. It lost out on the SCART battel and was downgraded to RF but it also has a VMU, fishing rod, gun and 3 pads, so in my eyes, it's pwreddy cool. 50+
    # Linksys router - does the job, flashed with DD-WRT, works flawlessly since. 5+
    # Telewest Modem - urm, well it is 10mb cable. 5+
    # Nintendo Wii - + additional GC Wavebirdx4 chunks and two wireless pad setups. It gets cool points beyond any other. 1000 points nominated by {{909}} but he might withdraw when removed from the GV. +1250
    # Creative Inspire 5500 Digital Something - I think it's known to be their biggest flop in home audio, but it IS good once it's plugged into something that tells it what to do (i.e. XMBC) and I get extra DirtyGirl points for it working, so that's gotta be worth something. 150+
    # LG 28" Telly. well, it has 3 scarts which is nice, also does NTSC and 100hz which is nice. The remote has had too much beer spilt on it, fortunatly the AV button works still - 0

    The finer details;

    # Stupid old consoles which I'll never get around to playing. 500-
    # LOADS of badly organised wires which will all heat up and probably cause a fire, burning my house down. 1000-
    # Overloaded 3-way plugs on extension cables on both sockets @ the rear. 9999-
    #Really crap speaker stands for tiny speakers. 100-
    # Having to use all AV socets and not purchasing a proper AV switcher. 500-

    But I wanna back myself up here. There's always a backbone to this sorta stuff;

    Spoiler:

    # 82 DVDs
    # 82 Computer games (various)
    # 85 Audio CD's
    # 22 Game controllers.
    # A white box with a ps2 in bits, which is 'in progress' of being added. I broke it.

    Cool Points - 1635
    Deductions - 2220

    Total = -585

    Damn I thought I was doing ok there

    Fuck knows why I just did all that. Anyone who want's to rob me, I've still got a bad shoulder, I keep all the knives in the first draw on the left in the kitchen. I'm out all day at work. PM me for my address

    (edit: I just wanna highlite, the CD's are all pretty wank and don't reflect my choices in music these days. I guess my LP collection would've been better to put in, but they don't go there. so, urr...)

    heh, nice post whatnow, you missed extra points for having bowed chipboard shelves and what looks to be a bottle cap stuck on a monitor with bluetac. A fantastic showcase.

    I will add my image soon and try and revive this thread to topic, still trying to decide on a plasma screen. My current stand-in 21" bush tv makes anyones set up look impressive.

    Its dead good and i aint even got it set up proper coz i wanna mount my rear speakers! There's a lil mic thing you get with it and you place it where your fave seating position is and it optimises the surround sound for you!
    First thing i tried was the superman returns plane crash scene and it was amazing! Also been watching lost and stargate in hd through it too which sounds mega!

    360 & PS2 so the kids can play without bothering the missus, they also have a normal xbox on a 22" CRT with a gamecube if I can be arsed to connect it!
