For the record I use Opera myself but I know there are a lot of members who use FF and there are sites that don't work in Opera.

and there is a reason for that. Opera is shite. I use it occasionally, er I mean I used it once.Originally Posted by maverick_15
been using opera exclusively for about 4 weeks now. It's ok, definately not perfect, but ok. Firefox is also ok but on balance has less faults. I would think I would be headed back to ff at some point to be honest. Plenty of features I use just dont work as well in opera.
Operas not bad but its not as good, imho (but 198729871 times better than IE)

I don't think you can beat Opera. It's tabbed browsing is better than FF, it's mouse gestures make everything easier, it has the ability to search google simply by typing g and a query. It has so many features that I don't think people fully utilise (and yes, I'm sure the same can be said of FF). Anyway, the FF vs. Opera debate will go on and on. Malty, what faults do you mean?

um the worst proper fault is loading a cached page for some pages when its well out of date. It's so unpredictable tho you have no idea when it's happening.
Other than that its mostly it doesnt do things 'how i like' which i suppose is where it becomes a matter of each to their own. Im using opera now and no one could say i havent given it a proper go. I just dont think it's as flexible

Yeah, one of the main things that I like about Opera is that if I'm browsing (either google or say new search on DF) then I can middle click on any thread or link I'm interested in which automatically opens in a new page behind the current. Fair enough, so does FF. But when I then want to view these pages I simply click on the front tab and it minimises leaving the next page I middle-clicked on. Read that, close it (using mouse gestures of course, right click, move down and right) and the next tab window is displayed. I love that. It's all preferences though as you say.Originally Posted by maltloaf

I've used Opera for a few months. The only thing that gets my back up is that the Currys site and PC World site don't work in it, not sure why, I've looked into it but go no where. The pages load up fine, click on a section like TV's for example and that whirly circle thing comes up and then it's meant to display the items, but there are no items.
Looks like this.......
