    Default Toshiba-Samsung ms25 problems

    Hey

I have been struggling to get this tosh-samsung TS-H943 ms25 fw
to dump its original fw, I have no problems getting the drive detected
in the bios or within mtkflash the problem is when it comes to reading
the original firmware..after sata choice prompt it just hangs for aslong
as you are willing to leave it ..at the same time the xbox's green light
will blink giving you reason to believe that it is reading.

Mtkflash gives the following error status 00 should be 70.

Using a floppy disc as mobo does not support boot from usb.

    Onboard sata (nforce4) chipset.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    got the exact mobo model?

dont know why a recent nf4 chipset mobo cant boot from usb.

if you have any other sata devices take them out, also if there are more than 2 sata slots have u tried the others

Disconnect your HDD and all your drives. Set your bios to boot up with your floppy only and also disable your Hdd+cdrom.

Also in the command remember the space between r /m

Failing that then you need to edit your mtkflash exe.

ive checked those details with the nf4 mtkflash and they match up, so mtkflash isnt the problem.

tried another floppy disk? i had to try 3 the first time i did it, i ended up putting mtkflash on one floppy then put in another floppy before reading to save the flash to it.
