    Default ripping originals on a hitachi drive

    anyone done it i just put new 2.1 firmware on says you can rip games but when i put lba length it says illegal address so cant rip anyideas

    everything it tell you todo in nfo i put drive in mode bet get ss.bin using getss open isobuster right click on dvdrom enter lenghth lba and click extract but just comes up saying illegal length

    are you entering it in decimal or hex or other? or is there not an option? never had the need to rip tbh, but I understand the procedure.

    are you putting it in the correct box in isobuster? (third one up I think).

    the 2048 bytes/block is important.

    Is it definately in Mode B?

    I've never tried a Hitachi, but I've been told that for a Samsung you need to 'unlock' the drive to make the data visible.

    i ripped loads games with samsung this 1st time i tryed on hitachi drive is in mode b or it wouldnt be detected in windows (or am i wrong?) am deffo putting it in correct places in isobuster just need someone to try theres incase it simply dont work unless you do need to unlock the drive like a samsung but how do you do that on a hitachi ?? i no you use dvdinfo on samsungs but i tryed with hitachi didnt do anything

    are you activating the 0800 feature by disc? what FW are you using?

    am using fw 2.1 and have booted it in mode b using slax cd and by open tray take powerplug out and turn on like said in the nfo maybe its just me have to find someone with a hitachi who willing to try theres

    tried on my spare hitachi flashed with 2.1 and mine same as wonkas
    wont let u rip
    and using connectivity kit to put in mode b
