Very True, suppose the lad cant be slated until he's done a bad job.
Its just a shame to see keane bashers writing him off before he's even started.
He doesnt have the money Keegan had, but money doesnt mean everything, i mean just look at chelski, they have loads of money but they are not that good ??

I know he will get a "good" reception when they play us at Leeds
I think thats ace news for Sunderland

Would love to hear the half time teamtalks when they are loosing
i think there is a strong possibility that hes only cutting his teeth for celtic once he gets some experience he will take over from wgs or who ever in a few years time (if hes any good that is ?)
as a mackem I am pleased and looking forward to our match with wolves that see the return of Mick Macarthy A good mate of Roy Keane's
I think it's a big risk for both him and the club tbh. Still, no doubt Fergy will be able to advise his favourite (ex-)player, and maybe the odd loan player too
How the fook is it a risk????
Cant understand this from people.
He captained a team to win everything in the game, whilst learning from arguably the best manager in the world, he played with some of the best players in the world, some of the greatest coaches, and has undoubtably great contacts in the game.
Can he do any worse than Prick Mcarthy??
Did Keegan have any experience when he took newcastle to their highest position??
Was bryan robson a poor manager when he brought world class players in his first managerial role??
Lets all jump on the roy keane to fail bandwagon.

It is a risk, this cannot be denied - but so is any managerial appointment. Some work some don't.

Give the guy a fair crack of the whip.
And thern take the piss if he fails (Sorry - couldn't resist that one).

Think he will do very well hes got the right attitude to get Sunderland moving in the right direction.
