Default Celtic pair head for Sunderland

New Sunderland manager Roy Keane has raided former club Celtic to sign defender Stanislav Varga and midfielder Ross Wallace.

BBC Sport understands that Celtic could receive more than £1m for the pair who have been on the fringes of the first-team under Gordon Strachan.
Wallace, 21, has signed a three-year contract, while Varga's is two years.
It will be a second spell on Wearside for the 33-year-old, who moved to Celtic in 2003.
Varga had appeared likely to leave Celtic in the summer but signed a new, one-year contract. Wallace, a left-sided midfielder who has been deployed at left-back on occasions, had been on trial at Birmingham City during the summer.

Excellent piece of business getting over £1 million for them.....

No argueing allowed in here ....

Ross Wallace will do well at Sunderland. He's a left sided midfielder, who we tried at left back, where he just about coped.Hes about 4' nothing, but quick and full of tricks.
Throws in plenty of crosses,if you have the targets.

You know what you'll get with big Varga,100%,whether you rate him or not.
I honestly think Wallace will be a good addition, tricky wee wingers are worth the ticket for the entertainment alone, and ive no doubts he'll be a star in the Sunderland team.
