    Default 2-way Satellite broadband

Anyone have any good links on fast 2-way sat broadband, we are interested in this at work, as we are on the limit of being able to get ADSL and we want faster uploads particualry.

sorry this should be in ISP section

cost wise it'd probably be cheaper to get bonded adsl to get faster uploads or sdsl.

What sort of bandwidth are you looking for (and what purpose if you can say) ?

we'd like at least 1Mbit upload and 4+mbit down.

We are also looking into bonded adsl, do you know who is best for that? seems the most likely just now, but not that cheap which was why I wondered about sat. Can't get sdsl where we are apparently.

have a look on adslguide, I'm not sure who does bonded adsl. xifos seems to popup every now and again:

You will find it hard to find upload/download speeds you require. Having a quick look on the net I found the following ..

    http://www.avcbroadband.com/broadban...business.shtml

    2Mbps/512kbps £2348.83(install) £29.38(setup) £457.08(monthly rental)

    2Mbps/1Mbps £2348.83(install) £29.38(setup) £568.70(monthly rental)

I installed satellite broadband from BT at a remote farm about 2 years ago. Only because it was too far from the exchange to get ADSL. BT are now discontinuing their satellite service as they don't make any money from it. It is being taken over by Remote Data Services. You could try contacting them they are slightly cheaper than BT.

If you can get ADSL I still think it's a better option than satellite apart from the cost.
