    Default Marketing

Now, I don't mind answering a few questions for market research but when they start asking me to imagine a range of bottled soft drinks is a person and then asking me if it's the sort of person I could be friends with it's just taking it too far.

Also, when going into the shop if I don't ask for a particular product it's most probably because I don't want that product. I know this isn't the fault of the staff but some marketing bastard somewhere who wants to americanize the whole thing.

Do I want fries with that? Did I ask for fries? No? Then no, I obviously don't want any sodding fries.

Sorry, you can't have chips because some marketing person somewhere has probably decided that the word chips makes you think of computer chips and that'll put you off wanting to buy them.

    Market research rocks!

Iam going to a group discussion tonight about lager. They've gave me 3 unlabled cans to try which were very nice, and i get £10 just for drinking them and wqriting a little squiggle on paper about it. Then when i arrive at the person's house where the discussion is, i get £35 just for talking about it and answering questions about it.Only 2 hours work. Plus also free drink of lager when i get there.

So all in all, 2 hours work £45 plus free beer.

Last week was about a website which i got £40 for...Will find out what next weeks task is.

Another person i know is doing a one on washing powder, he gets a years supply of washing powder, a brand new washing machine, plus wonga for doing it.

Nice work if you can get it.

Moral is, if your stopped in the street and asked a few questions about market research shite, go for it, and answer them all, then you'll have a bit extra pocket money each week for doing so.

    Everyones a winner.

If they started asking me crap like that, I would have to reply something weird like I was seeing this bottled soft drink, she was beautiful, waist like a coke bottle, but since i was dumped by her I prefer not to socialise with soft drinks anymore.

She rings me up tells me about a one coming up, and i go along get fed and watered, talk bollox for a little while then get paid.

last night was the best, got there and got more beer to try, apparently its a new type of Kronenbourge (sp) with a widget thats coming out....Their also developing a chilling can that keeps your drink cold.
