N70 & Tom Tom sucks arse

* Tom Tom will not connect to the GPS receiver (nokia jobbla) if the device is already paired to the phone.
* Have to delete any pairings before opening Tom Tom. The phone seems to pair automatically.
* Sometimes will randomly not connect to the GPS unit without turning the phone off and on again
* after a random ammount of time the screensaver will come on and stop the GPS working which shock horror means turning it off and on again.

Is there any way of making this not such a pain in the ass. At the moment im still printing off maps coz this is fucking useless

I love tom tom on my N70 its the best thing ever

I had to disable my screensaver for it which is no biggy, the normal blank screen with the clock on it doesnt cancel out the tom tom, your GPS sounds a bit guff, I use a HOLOX receiver and its paired automatically with the phone and tom tom just starts using it no matter what, also I use my bluetooth headset with the phone at the same tiem and it works fine

possible firmware update to your phone mate ?

I'm sure there are a few N70 tomtom users on here who can shed some more light on it.

Im using a Nokia LD-1W GPS reciever. I can find how to set screen saver to only come on after 30 mins but can't seem to turn it off entirely. When the screensaver does come on the GPS stops working which is no good for long journeys. Any ideas?
