Help Guys, with O2 Bill and MASSIVE GPRS bill!!

Hi guys,

need help.

just been debited £250 from o2, for my monthly bill.. It is usually £15 pm.

I've stopped the Direct Debit, and rang o2 thinking there has been a fraud or something.

They asked me if I have been to greece? yes.

Have I used the internet?

yes

I used it for sky sports each day, to check footy news, and email, and general browsing.... not for more than like 30 mins or so.

I cannot beleive that amount on my bill, and wondered if anyone else has been stung like this, and if anyone has got it looked into and sorted out. if so please give me some pointers.

what i dont understand is that i've done no more than i every would on any holiday with o2, for the last 3 years in italy X2 and spain x1.

and i've never notice much or a change in my bill..

has anyone here complained and got it refunded?

why not just write to them asking for a printed history of both your previous few years bills and their GRPS charges, then at least you can compare and see who's at fault?

trouble is you pay for standard uk airtime as usual but also pay to use the airtime from the local supplier in greece
basically charged both ways ..
why didnt you just watch sky in the bars to get your info ?

you used to get free gprs on o2 but that changed, not sure when though. I think I'm charged £3 per meg on o2, thats on a sim only contract.

i've complained, and waiting to hear back from them. if the charges stand, i'm gonna have to try something, cos thats just way too much.
