No proper GT game till 2008, no MGS4 till late 2007

Sony really are making it hard on themselves!

Turns out GT:HD won't be a full game, merely a prologue for GT5 in 2008.

i wouldnt have expected GT5 for ages yet anyway, GT4 was delayed about 18months. the same for MGS4, theose games come out when theyre ready and it will be worth the wait

It's a good thing for both the consumer and games manufacturers. As a consumer it means you don't have to purchase the console until the price has dropped significantly and the games manufacturers will get more sales since the longer they wait from the release of the console the more people that will own one.

2008 is a long time to wait, i'm not too unhappy though - i'll be playing halo 3 long after the single player experiances for either of these two has finished and the discarded gamers and boxes sit on my shelf accumulating dust.

Single player games no longer hold the same appeal for me.

Yes i agree, i def prefer the human element in gaming these days. Single player just doesnt cut it for very long. I think online play is the future.
