Best Linux?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a free (to download) and install Linux OS. I heard of Red Hat but I think it is commercial.

I already have Windows XP installed, so I want to be able to have dual boot system.

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

[UPDATE]: I have come across ubuntu and gave it a try and it is fantastic and easy to install!!!
