i've just updated to b'' and the iso's that didn't work before with no-umd now work! finally I can sell GTA!
i'm also convinced they all load faster aswell!

Waka - make sure you downgrade to 1.5 first and upgrade to 2.71 se-a first, then b then b' etc etc, this will ensure a clean upgrade process, as some bods have had issues when going straigt to b'/''

    Thanks for the link Simate.
My PSP is v2.50 firmware - according to the pdf I looked at I think I do need GTA:LCS

    What version was yours originally?
Do you have to go down to v1.50 before you go to the hacked v2.71B3?

    Thanks again,
    W.

[edit] ah thanks bugnote - I was on the right track. So ido need GTA then?! ;-p

no, forget GTA mate, I only bought it so I could use homebrew as mine was a 2.01 originally.

upgrade to 2.71, get the eboot from psp-hacks.com as above, then downgrade to 1.5 using (there are a few of them), I used dark alex downgrader-flasher thing, easy to follow the instructions from his site, dax.lan.st , then upgrade to 2.71 se-a etc etc

thanks bugnote - just realised I don't have a usb cable that fits the psp. I must have every other type of cable apart from the one I need! I'll get flashing when I get the right cable!

Shouldn't the psp have come with a mini usb cable?

Yes it should, I'm not sure the value pack comes with one or not though if that's what you have.

    2.71 SE-B'’ (SE-B3) Released!

You know what it’s all about by now… Another 2.71 SE-B update from Dark_AleX — this one primarily focuses on UMD/ISO stability resulting in better support for all your favourite ISOs and UMDs. So here it is, 2.71 SE-B'’ or SE-B3 as referred to by some.
    • Added SFO version bypass to real umd’s. (this should enable gta vcs umd to be played).
    • Fixed the problem of error 0×8002012D in certain games when plain modules are enabled. Because the problem is gone, the updater will reset the option of plain modules to enabled. If for some reason you still have that error, report it and disable the option, but it should be fixed now.
Found and corrected 3 bugs regarding no umd.
    • One of them affected Virtual Tennis and potentially a lot of other games.
    • The other two affected GTA LCS and GTA VCS.
    • Some games like Burnout Legend still don’t run in no-umd because of what seems a kernel stack problem.
Enjoy another fine Revision B release from Dark_AleX!

Well I formatted my mem stick after I installed 2.71 SE B so I could try GTA VCS, but it wasn't working and now every time I put an iso in the folder the mem stick says there are no games

Ive just tried tiger woods on my 1gb card and it works until the game loading screen and then the psp turns itself off. When I copy the GAME150 folder onto the PSP the update doesn't show up on the mem stick on the PSP, am I doing something wrong?

I did the update no problem before I posted, just the dh folder shows as a corrupt file and wondered what it's meant to do, I took the dh folder off and just used the update file.

just installed the latest revision, just a quick question for people using a ripped version of GTA VCS on a 1gb stick, the game jerks every few seconds and I've read about people changing the CPU clock to 333mhz, can you do this on 2.71 SE B'(rev3) ?

Every time i tried it in devhook it always crashed on the Sony screen.

ghost of a bullet. are you using the cso compressed ripped iso? as this will always jerk even on 333mhz, best to rip it but not compress, theres a rip out there that will take out some stations and let it fit on 1gb.
