so noisy

ive got a crystal xbox in the bedroom to watch tv on a night through (xbmc and thats it no games at all) ive got the fans runnning as slow as possible but it still makes a racket, ive had a bit of a search to find a fanless or quieter solution but theres nothing, im not apposed to hacking chucks out of a zalman cooler if i can get it to fit or changing the internal fans for quieter models (or larger if i can get them to fit and then run them slower) i just cant find much in the way of info on it, theres plenty of info on adding screens and lcd's but nothing on noise reduction

if anyone has any links or info id appreciate it

Best bet is to probably install a 80mm Vantec Stealth fan. although it will require some modding to fit..

cheers fella after seeing what had been done i shoudlnt have thought a tut was needed, connect the red to the power and earth the black wire, simple really, also i saw on there that they fitted a 40mm fan to the cpu/gpu under the hd do you think an 80mm would fit there?

ive got a couple of 80mm fans with speed regualtors on them ill let you know how i get on
