    Default Spark Plugs...Any Real Improvement?

    Hi,

I have been looking for various ways of getting my Corsa B 1.2 a bit more responive, and I have seen 2 possible ways, an Ecotek valve (looks bloody hard to install though) or some new performance spark plugs. What you lot think? Any other way of getting a better response from the car? And btw no silly replys, like get a new car...

    Kevin

ecotek valve is a scam - wont do anything at all

plugs will only make a difference if your old ones are completly knackered.

airfilter and exhaust will make a tiny difference. chip and or cams will make more of a difference, but also cost more.

Clean out the engine, get rid of all the shit thats accumulated in it, check the sensors and make sure they're all working as should be. Dont piss away money on ecotek valves and expensive plugs before you know you're getting the most out of what you already have.

Not really that much you can do to a 1.2, but a air filter will make a bit of difference, the more air you can pump in the more explosive the combustion of fuel hence more power. Dont bother with any big-bore performance exhausts, it is a waste of time on small engines as you lose back-pressure so you actually lose power

Don't spend money on expensive plugs, you really need to be sticking those into really high end engines to notice the smallest difference.

Exhaust, chipping, air filter will give small changes but to be honest its not worthwhile as the BHP to £ ratio is very very small
