Default Audi locking nuts removal. ?

Ive got a new set of alloys to fit the missus' Audi A4,but the daft bint has lost the locking nut adaptor.
The nuts are rounded on the outside, with teeth in the middle hollow.
Ive borrowed 3 adaptors now,and there all different.
I have spare wheel nuts(incl locks),so not bothered about damaging the existing ones.
    Kwik-Fit etc,knocked me back.

Any suggestions about how to get them off

Get a socket that just fits over the head of it and smack it on with a hammer,

Ok,got big hammers and an 18mm socket, but think I'll wait til the morning to start.

I have this uneasy feeling that I'll be posting a "fkd up 4 Audi wheels, nuts, brakes and discs" thread tomorrow....

    Cheers Guys.

Get a socket that just fits over it - with as little free space as possible. Get some chemical metal/weld stuff, I recommend JB Weld, but it is hard to get hold of. Put a load inside the socket and put socket on wheel nut. Next day, just unscrew socket. You will need to destroy one socket per locking nut, but its simple, dead easy.

Won't need to, i'm sure the local chavs will have done it for you, You'll find your car sitting on bricks ready for the new wheels.

Think your missus should count herself lucky that she didnt get a flat tyre out in the middle of nowhere. Slightly f*cked without the right lock nut adapter.

Or you could just drive it to Audi and get them to use what they call is a 'master set' which is the 6 varieties of looking nuts they use.

They'll probably do it for free if you ask nicely, know loads of people who have had this problem before and been sorted out by their local Audi.
