Do you reckon that studios count pilot downloads and trials from downloads?

What I'm trying to say is do you think a network also brings the popularity of a show say from its pilot eps and takes ratings from downloads on newsgroups, bittorrent and other factors and then try and determine how many hits/views/comments about the show?

It's a pointless question but I wonder if they do include these into their factors as they would get to know a little about the UK audience...

i think they only go on what gets watched as they use neilson in the us to workout the viewing figures

plus i don't think they would want to count newsgroup/bittorrent downloads - these don't make them any money as they don't have commercials

yeah, i get where you two are coming from...but it would mean a bit to them how much downloads/views it gets overseas and gets to see the market from that view...but yeah, kinda agree with you two now after thinking about it a little more..
