The new postcodes zip file is also posted in here, no idea if it will work on your original Go - does the full postcode search work at the moment ? You might need to upgrade your Go's software - you can do this on the Tomtom site - get Tomtom home - instructions are on there aswell.
What ever you try make sure you have got a full back up first.
The new map & keygen should work for you though.

thanks for the info Russ, after reading through the thread again i think i need a larger card for my GO.
i have updated the apps version to 6.520 however the original GO never allowed full postcode search only partial, you could copy over a poi postcode file but the original go card was only 128mb so could only ever have one area at a time eg northeast or northwest postcodes.

next i tried removing the original GO map file and putting on the new maps this also does not work.

so i think i need to transfer all original GO contents to larger card add new maps and run keygen.

dont want to spend money a new card when i have this running on my n73, however it would be handy as back up.

I do have 20 x nokia 64mb mini sd (1280mb total) that i would swap for a 1gb sd card
looking on ebay 64mb cards are selling for a minimum of £3 each inc p&p so thats £60 in cards for a 1gb sd card which goes for £15, anyone intrested ???

if i do get a larger card i will update my findings for all those old GO users that that there will be many !!

A 1gb SD card is cheap enough now - seen them advertised for @ £8-00

I've got the full postcode thing working on my original card, I'm sure it was just a case of copying a file called 'zip' over into your main folder and bingo.
But as you say you will have to upgrade your card to get the new maps on with speed cameras and stuff.

Im confused....I have TT700 which doesnt use memory cards, its built in memory yet the TT site only seems to talk about installing to a memory card? How do I do this, Im well confused!

Connect your TT700 to your pc - it should see it as an extra drive - install it onto there as if it was a memory card.

cant suss this out for tom tom go 300 i am useless at this i draged the gb map over the key and it opened cmd up and it said primary map enter device id n i entered iGreat_n n the window closed

Don't use the dragging method - use the instructions included with the download. I tried it that way & it didn't work - so that's why I wrote & included the instructions.

I have an original tomtom go, if i load the keygen and new maps will i then have full postcode facilty like on an tomtom one or on navigator 6.

has anyone sucessfully tried this and is it just a case of adding the zip file with postcodes like on the navigator for symbian etc

Just to let you know Russ, Eventually got a new card and all works fine on Original tomtom Go
You can now have full postcodes built in which were not on the orginal Go and you dont
have to have them as a poi
very handy indeed !!

will send some k+ but think i have already so may not be able to

if I'm allowed to ask - any pointers where I can fing the latest UK and Ireland maps from. The level of street mapping of Ireland ia pathetic, and after 1 1/2 years of not using a paper map, I can't use one now.

Yes you should be able to stevo , I've got 'Great_Britain V650.1111' & 'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-0660.1199' maps with the original map on my TT Go.
