how many hdd's/disk space??

after having a read at this site i was wondering how many other people on here are in the terabyte club (if you didnt know you need more than 1000gb's to get in going by their rules although 1024gb should be the required amount)

1.5 terabytes of wank material! if i had that much hd space i'd suggest everyone buy shares in kleenex.

I've probably got close to 750gig but thats distributed across a couple of machines. I usually end up burning alot of stuff to dvd and then deleting it, never really needed much more space.

I have 650 gig this week in my mtyhtv box

only use 80 in my main machine though and 30 in the laptop

400 gig is �85 on scan at the moment

server with 5x300gb and 1x80gb for the OS, main PC with 2x37gb and 2x200gb laptop with 100gb and an external 250gb hd whatever that all adds up to. All used for a variety of purposes.

i probably should have said that mines used for my new job (im a partner in a wedding video company) we shoot the wedding videos that i edit and burn to dvds although they can be supplied on an external hdd aswell,
im not much of a camera man which is why i do stills but i can edit the shit out of a video lol virtually guarenteed to make you cry like a little girl hehehe and since we moved over to the hd camera last week (h*tp://www.digitalrev.com/en/product_details.php?item_id=1100) not that ive had a go with it yet-lol the videos are truly massive which is why ive got so many hd's in the nas

dv takes 1gb every 4 mins since i built this dual boot nas to capture to ive pretty much filled it with 1 thats right 1 wedding video. i had to buy a new 320gb drive today to be able to output the video and then transcode it to dvd format cos i didnt have enough space left on the others (id be lost without the macbook pro i got this week cos windows while not bad just couldnt do the hd as easily)

if theres any forum members planning a wedding and in need of a video pm me were not that expensive ...honest lol although i could do with the work

only got 680Gb in my machine, I average about 2 or 3 gb free at any one time.
time to buy more HDs, if only I had more power connectors.lol

In total 890gb without my xboxs but as they mostly hold films anyway I'm going to count them. So 1370gb in total

It won't be long before you can get a TB on a single drive, 750GB is the max at the moment I think.

Currently I have 2 x 120gigs as a RAID0 and one 250 gig (boot drive).

All Maxtor IDE drives.

Also I have 2 x 250gig SATA drives on order to replace the RAID.

Adding the 120gig on my PS2, the 30gig in the laptop, the 20gig in my daughters machine (cheating but they are all connected by LAN) that all ads up to a not too impressive 660gig of space. I probably would call the couple of 60gigs in the cupboard but as they are knackered I won't.

Technically, you'd need over 1125gig to be in the offical terabyte club as HD manufacturers refer to a gig as 1000000000 bytes rather than the true figure of 1073741824 bytes.

This is my server where I have most of my drives

the 2nd 40Gb is my FTP and webserver

I also have a 74gb scsi and a 120GB IDE in the main desktop "ONE"
Laptop has 60gb internal, a 40gb 2.5" external and a 250 external usb.
the bedroom PC has a 250GB.
