    Default Off to the States..

Right.. I'm off to the US first thing tomorrow morning - California to be precise! I was just wondering if anyone knows where I'll be able to get a PS3, or several, over there. I've looked on the websites of the major electrical appliance stores e.g. Fry's, Circuit City, Best Buy etc. and some wholesale stores e.g. Sam's Club, Costco. but cannot find any available online at any of these stores. Obviously I will check the afore mentioned shops in person, however I was wondering if any of you with connections in the USA knew anywhere I'd be able to bag one quite easily?

Also, will I be stung at customs if I bring one back through the airport unopened?

I will have internet access over there so will keep checking this post, and if I get access to a supply I might be up for buying for people.. though I will want to make a bit of profit.

Oh, and I'm there for 4 weeks.

there have been unconfirmed reports of some shops having stock in america, but i wouldnt be surprised if that was exaggerated by wii fans trying to make a petty point. Just goto a few stores when your out there and check it out first hand.

Just come back from the USA, I was mainly in Philadelphia but also visited Indianapolis.

Philly had no PS3's anywhere that I could see :-( Indy had one in almost every shop I went into....however I looked in Indy before Philly and was in Philly last, so when I saw there was such good availability in Indy I didn't pick one up, really wish I had no as I'm back in the UK PS3less now :-(

Would you still make a profit in the UK if you still paid over US RRP? Just curious

Well I had a massive hunt yesterday.. Circuit City, Best Buy, Gamestop, Game Crazy, Game Plus, all the big stores, and all the electrical stores I could find in the Coachella Valley. Nothing. Apparantely they sold out pretty much on day one over here in California, so I'm told to wait until the next batch comes. Surprise surprise they don't know when. Just gonna keep looking around, and hope something comes up.

Cheers Rap, will drop LE a PM at some point.
