I have just bought a PC with DDR2 PC2-5300 512MB of memory, and I want another to make it 1GB. Which memory would be compatible from these ?

I would say none of them, as you would need DDR2 for compatibility.

there is a section for 5300 DDR2 ram try to match the modules if you can.

I went out and bought some DDR2 PC2 430 which I was told by the guy in shop would work fine.

Installed it and it does work fine.

Within 3 days ive gone from a 996MHZ AMD Chip with 256MB ram,

To an intel 3.3Ghz with 1 gig of ram, Rockin!
