They are only good in small rooms, they are also pretty noisy, because of the compressor. You will need a 8 inch or so diameter hose going outside to expell the warm air generated by the compressor, and they dont cool that much because air which is chilled by the unit is blown into the room and in turn sucked back in to cool the compressor.
You would be better buying a split system, one like this one here are pre-charged with refrigerant in both units and pipes, and the pipes have valves that click together so you do not lose any gas when installing.

is it a bit warm mid winter for you?

On a slightly different note, I did see a massive industrial one of those in some shop in London (running) in the middle of summer - couldn't get them to understand that it was overall making the shop hotter as they were just expelling the hot air into the store the muppets

I looked at getting one of these for the office here, but I'm not sure I could put up with the noise.

It does look a nice and slim one, all of the others I've seen are really bulky.

if you have the room and are ok with a spanner and drill, spend a few more quid and get a split reverse cycle unit. it will blow hot and cold. plenty on ebay with instructions..
Sometimes i like nasty close ups,
Sometimes I like them air brushed,
Sometimes it's a spread brown eye,
    Sometimes it's girl on girl.
Sometimes a steamy letter will do it.
And not often, but sometimes I like the idea of a chick
    with a horse.

9900 btu will barely cool a wc

i got a 12000btu and on the hottest day it will comfortablly cool a room 13' x 9' from 32 degrees down to a bareble 23 degrees within about 1 hour if u keep it closed off.

they cane the leccy too and sound like a go cart but none of that bothered me in the slightlest or my heavily overclocked PC lol
