Default SKY HD for £169 for EXISTING CUSTOMERS

Stole process for AV Forums but it does work. Just booked my installation.

    1. Buy a pack of anything from currys - You only want the receipt
    2. Phone Sky on 08705959595 option 2 then 3
    3. Tell them you are a existing customer and would like to upgrade to HD using Currys Deal
    4. If they ask you did you buy a TV, reply is YES
    5. Give them the Store Number from your receipt (they may ask you to confirm the store address
    6. Give them your receipt number and date of purchase
    7. You will then have to pay the £169 with credit/debit card
    8. Choose your installation date

I was also asked if i wanted Multiroom and said no (there was no metion of a £60 installation fee either)

It looks like the reason this works is that sky have no access to Currys sales records.

    Role on monday

do you need to also sign up for another year and pay the £10 HD fee. I only want BBC in HD (till I can afford another £10 a month) so a HD box at £169 would be a steal. I'm also half way through my Sky+ contract would this also matter?

£299 plus £60 installation if you don't have multiroom

They didn't mention if it was another 12 months contact or not. And i think you have to take out the £10per month extra as well

I was an existing customer and i got a good deal out of them.

I had to pay £299 for the box as it had only been out a couple of months, but we pay £43 a month and that's for the whole package (the highest sky package, Sky HD and Sky+).

Just make sure you keep going to get the best deal, it took me a while to get it that low but its well worth it now considering we were paying £45 for normal sky but the whole package before.

£169 is a bargain, your still limited on HD channels at the min but what you can watch is amazing

    Knowing Mr Flash personally,
I watched his half price HD last night, today went to Currys bought a £10 portable aerial for my Bedroom tv.

Called Sky and followed hi intructions.
I had to tell a couple of white lies:-
    1, I bought a tv from currys
2, I pay'd currys £30 the deal according to sky is £100 pounds off and you pay £30 deposit to currys.
3, to avoid £60 installation fee I moved my SKY+ box to my bedroom, (don't need that bloody aerial now)
Mr flash didn't pay installation, I think it depends on how competent the person at sky is.

But at the end of the day my sky HD comes in 6 days, Get in

Yep, i've done this aswell. Make sure you state your purchase was in December. On top of it all, they give you 25% off the HD subscription so £7.50 for the year.

I have only got a standard Sky box, no multi room or plus etc.... £169 all in!! Also, I only have the £21 package so by paying for HD you get acces to Sky +

My mate had the new N T L box installed today, it's just like Sky+ except it does HD too. The box was free and costs £15 a month extra I think it was, he already had 2 boxes so they just did a straight swap for one. Sort of wish I hadn't got Sky a few months back now, then again I had no idea about this new N T L box then.

EDIT: I've not seen it yet, but he reckons it's got 3 tuners, can record 2 channels and watch another channel or watch a recording.
