Wanted Fresh pc - what to install?

    Hey you wonderful people...

Ive got a fresh pc for my birds mum and want to put all progs on before we give it to her so im not back and forth every week installing and fixing issues etc.

I need some advice on best progs to install on it.

So far im looking at installing:

Anti virus: Symantec Corp - so it dont get buggered in the next liveupdate

Adware: Adaware, spybot search and destroy, spyware balster

Or maybe actually buy the Zonelabs ZoneAlarmŽ INTERNET SECURITY SUITE cos its all in one.

Gonna put office 2003 on it or 2007 if i can get a good link and also if people reckon its ok to install and wont get screwed by an update.

also main real important part is installing some sort of net nanny software to stop her 9 year old and 12 year old nephew going to places they shouldnt and also to monitor thier chat logs, emails etc just to make sure they aint doing anything they shouldnt be.

If anyone can recommend any good software it'd be great. want to install this asap, surei can find the links via the usual places but i'd prefer to have free legal software rather than cracked ones.

    Thanks in advance.
    Meh....

I'd stick a different AV program on rather than Symantec, unless corp is a whole lot different to the rest. I 'custom' version od nod32 perhaps, or avg or avast.

I use the firewall and it does the job very well.

Cannot vouch for the other apps, but if they're anything like the firewall.....
