windows media centre on xbox

Hi there, I am trying to stream a file xvid to my 360 using transcode 360. The problem is at about 1-2 minutes into it, the laptop i am streaming from crashes and the media centre stops playing. Tried reinstalling transcode and update the media centre on my laptop. Not sure what else i should try or do.

Laptop was always streaming fine until today, I did do disk defragement the other day.

really bugging me now, tried everything, not sure whether its the xbox or laptop

I gave up with doing this, i have dug out an original xbox and using xbmc on that it reads everything even img and iso files.

Either that or just use something like winavi to convert the files to mpeg or wmv and the xbox will read them fine.

If it was working before have you tried a system restore to a few days ago?

just tried a system restore to last week, and still get the same problem, have no clue why its doing it, checked spy doc and avg. Will just have to connec the lappy to the tv all the time.
