Strange Vista issue

Wondering if someone can explain this

Downloaded a copy of vista ultimate from the usual places
Burnt a copy onto dvd and then put it in the drive. Rebooted pc and went to work.

Came home to find that vista had installed itself on my pc onto another drive & made it my c drive. XP drive is now D. What confuses me even more is that when i gon into my comp, it shows vista ultimate as being activated.

Any1 have any ideas how the fuck this has happened? & if possible, can i go back to my xp config as I didnt actually want to use vista till next week. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

not to sure m8,just sounds like an unatended install.

and every copy of vista is activated even if you dont put a cd key in but its only for a period of 30 days unless you find some kind of workaround
