Sony V600i - locked to network?

Hello,

My farther has bought a new phone and so I took his old Sony V600i off his hands, seeing as I’ve gone off my currant phone. I have an Orange Pay-As-You-Go SIM and when I use it the phone says “Inserts correct SIM Card”

I spent along time this morning looking up ways to unlock it but haven’t found any worthwhile information.

I read something about getting an IMEI code by typing *#06# into the phone, then using this number to unlock the phone… but seeing as I can't turn it on I guess I will need to use my dad SIM card.


Can anyone help?

This handset should be on Voda therefore you could purchase an unlock code for around 10 UK pounds m8.

The *#06# is only for viewing the IMEI number.

If you get really stuck with it then I could unlock it for you for the price of return postage m8.

Ah I see.... hmm well could I just get a Vodafone Pay-As-You go SIM and use that?

As you can see I dont really follow phones.

Hi m8, as I say it SHOULD be on Voda, but just turn it on to make sure. Once turned on you will see the network branding on either startup or shutdown.
