I was lucky enough to bag a few tickets this morning, one of our group is 17 and so I was wondering how stict their 'strictly over 18s' policy is. i.e. do they ID people?
Cheers

I'd highly doubt that they'd ID anyone, unless he looks about 12 lol
Lol well its a she which helps anyway, just wondered as I have only been to gigs, concerts and festivals, never been to a good stand up!
Cheers for the reply, didn't think it would be a problem or I will kick up a fuss.
if its a girl then shitloads of makeup and get her to hold hands with the oldest looking guy so it looks like they're going out, it'll be fine. i find from being on both sides of IDing people that what you look like has bugger all to do with it, its how you dress and act. If you look nervous then you're gonna get ID'd. best probably to tell her that you posted this and that the response was a unanimous no, and that she definitely wont be ID'd so she looks confident
if there is a young guy working on the door then go to him if she's hot too, the natural reflex not to annoy attractive females can prevent IDing
not sure if they actually would ID though, in fact i highly doubt it.
i've not been to standup comedy live either but i'd really like to. saw a video of gervais in politics and animals and they're both pretty cool

Its hard to tell if she looks 18 or not, unless you post her picture
lol seriously, cant see any problem with a comedy act, not like its a nightclub or anything. I've taken under 18's several times to comedy shows in glasgow that where billed as 18+, and they dont bother at all.
I managed to bag front row seats, Manchester Apollo March 20th
Can't wait
i'd like to see him on fire...
They have released more dates for London. Tickets available tomorrow. Anyone have any tips on getting tickets? Apparently it's difficult to get them? I need 10

I saw him in Cardiff on 6th March!
Excellent.....tho he is only on stage for about 50 mins, so not exactly VFM!

I went to see him in Birmingham last week. Saw some people who looked about 16/17 so I'm sure she'll be alright.

fuckme lines opened at 10am, sold out within 10mins.
It's a pain in the arse cos they will only sell you 6 to and address. So you won't all be sitting together.
The seats I ended up getting where prety shit too.
oh well

there are tickets available at www.lastminute.com for Hammersmith Apollo if people are interested. there are tickets for 3,4,5,6,7,10,11,12,13,14th September.
The only person i'd like to see even less than Gervais is Peter Kaye.....who is definitely the world's unfunniest man.
You trying to say that when "Top of the Tower" DVD came out in 2000 you didnt find that funny at the time?
I thought it was hilarious back then but Kay is now significantly past his sell by date these days IMO!

here's the link for the Apollo Hammersmith gigs.
I was thinking of going but to ask for almost £50 is taking the piss a bit IMO.
They probably say Over 18s because they have a licenced bar, I went to hundred of gigs before I was 18 that said "over 18s only" Christ, I think even tickets to the reading festival say that.
