    Stupid Clean Vista install

I have just done the above, and went to dig out my paperwork for passwords for broadband connection, via *** set top box and vista as connected to internet without asking for any passwords!!

How did it know to connect to *** and login correctly!! I am a bit concerned about this!

    Thanks in advance.

Virgin may be using the MAC address of your modem/set top box to identify you.

It might be to do with Virgin taking over I don't know, but under previous xp install have always had to put passwords in for connection.
