advice on printing via laptop

I have just brought a laptop, and i am thinking of buying a wirless modem/router.
I want to print to the main printer in the house from my laptop, will the wirless modem/router access my printer on the main pc, or does it just enable me to use the internet only on my laptop.

no u can share the printer as long as the main machine (whichever the printer is connected to) is on..

the laptop will be sent the driver when u add the printer to it.

or, a better solution is to buy a network enabled printer, plug it into the router and then you can print from the laptop to the printer without any other machine being on...

my hp photosmart 2610 plugs into a port on the router and any machine on the network can print to it as long as they have it added, and have the driver installed. and no other machine except the one ur printing from need be on.

or another solution is to buy a router with a print server on it (my draytek 2800g has one, but ive never tried it).. itll have a USB port on the back that u can plug yer printer into.. works much like the network printer scenario described above, but via usb as opposed to ethernet cable.
