R4 DS + 1GB Kingston MicroSD for £23

Just saw this on another forum I visit and thought I ought to share.

Yup, the best slot 1 card on the market for the DS bundled with a 1GB Kingston MicroSD for the princely sum of £23 incl. shipping. Sounds too good to be true but I've done some digging and the site gets pretty good feedback. They seem to do quite a bit of bootleg stuff (the torches in particular are knock-offs of more expensive items) but the R4 seems legit.

Seems like a damn good deal to me - maybe time to replace my slot2 supercard?

Just ordered one to finally replace my old Slot2 supercard SD Payment via paypal. Also available without the MicroSD card for a shade over £15 !! Absolute bargain !!

Excellent find mate but i'm a bit sceptical. These are usually about £50 with a 1gb micro SD card.

I'd love to get one at that price but I think i'll pass.

i bought one from a different place recently for £32 without sd card. That was in the UK. I then bought a 1gb card for £6 so it may be right if its from china or somewhere?

Just a heads up!!!

We've just received word that fake R4 DS flash carts are making their rounds in China and some online stores. Unlike the original R4, these clones use cheap internal flash memory and are poor MK5/N-Card (etc.) knock-offs, that are being sold under the R4 DS name. The packages are almost identical and so are the cards themselves, the main difference is that the clones have small blue labels on them indicating the size of the internal flash memory.

So be careful if you're planning on picking up an R4 DS soon. The R4 team will obviously not be offering support or replacements to purchasers of the fake R4s.

EEK! I certainly hope it's not a ripoff one when it shows up or I won't be best pleased.

Update: I don't think these are fakes... look at the fake pic - it doesn't have "MicroSD" in the corner of the box, while the real ones do.

The fakes have cheap internal flash memory - and the ones on this bargain have the micro-sd slot and come with a micro-sd card, so I think we are all safe.

I did panic there for a while though.
