It's very probable they are but I've used several 'un-released' games over the last year and nothing yet .... not to say the info aint being kept in a database ready to be bombed once M$ are ready :emot87:
I figure that the most likely thing that will happen (if they do do something about it) is to ban people off live so if I don't go on live in the meantime I'm kinda doing that myself for them. The way the xbox 360 keeps track of what you've played means you can't simply not go online with un-released games as it will just update your gamertag when you next do.
Why not use a different gamertag and then transfer the saves when need be?
i thought the same when i put on graw2 and came off line. decided its probably best not to play untill release day - if my misses had her way i wouldnt be playing them at all!
cheers

The way to stop it is unplug your network cable! The people who work for certain companies get the games before release date and they play online with them
In A World Of United's, City's, Town's, Rover's & Albion's There Is Only One Hotspur
Like I say simply not going online (or unplugging your network cable) doesn't make a difference as your system stores when you played the game and upates your online gamertag when you next go online. Staying offline forever won't work in the end cos M$ have, in the past, already bundled updates with certain game releases.
All I reckon we can do is make hay whilst the sun shines lol
All i do if i have an unreleased game for the uk, i just dont play it till the game is in shops over here to buy, as i always have my 360 connected to live
i have been gonna flash mine for about a monthy now but do worry about these things. look how long it took them to properly implent windows product validation in the face of loads of blatant piracy. i think it WILL happen with xbox live, just a question of WHEN. has anyone with a flashed box had any probs yet? particularly those playing unreleased stuff?
no never had any problems, i guess 1 solution is to remove your hardrive and play unreleased games without creating a save game in the first place but i didnt even bother to check this i just put them in and play, if micorsoft could do something im sure they would have.
As far as I'm aware no.
The fall update put the fear of god in many, but nothing came of it re banning etc.
As said before, make hay while the sun shines

Playing any game on or offline is recorded on your box and will report to hq the next time you logon, simply removing the network cable to play a game does not work. The only way to play an unreleased game is to disconnect your hard drive first so that it has no place to record what you are up to. Unfortunately you can't save your game but it's a good way of testing a new release out safely. You could use a mem card tho but they're a bit expensive lol.
ive never unplugged with unreleased games, people were saying the same thing when the king kong kiosk demo kept showing up on peoples gamertags. the way i see it is how do they know your are not a beta tester /games journolist? someone must have the real game if its on the net anyway?
