Going there in May

Any recommendations for things to do during the day/night?

Go to Wild Wadi, its a waterpark, really good. Got the highest waterslide outside North America. Desert Safari is cool, they take you out in 4x4 into the desert over all the dunes, some are 100ft high. Then on to a Bedouin camp for a BBQ and belly dancer for entertainment. Its about a 5 hour excursion.Dune bashing is wicked, you get to drive buggys over the dunes but you have to book as soon as you arrive, or before you go as it gets full quickly. If you're looking for hookers, go to Cyclone, its basically a meat market. Also Insomnia. For clubbing try Insomnia at the Mina Salam hotel, good club. I have a guide that I got last time I went from Virgin. PM me and i'll send it to you if I can find it. Just to let you know, it is quite an expensive place.

Thanks for that. Haven't actually booked our apartments/hotel yet but its looking like we'll be staying at the Arabian Park Hotel. Pm sent.

just got back/been going there ever since first gulf war,place gets busier and bigger every time i go/massive traffic jams now.
food is cheap and good.
alchohol is expensive,best to spend evenings in all inclusive hotels open to all.
rennaisance hotel/spice island all you can eat and drink 165 dirhams/approx 25 quid.
if your single/russian or chinese girls at most bars /discos.
gold souks worth a visit.
basically if you want something it is available there/but whatever u do do not get caught pissed on the street.
enjoy/saying that always glad 2 get home

it is hard to believe but i think there are more pr0stitutes there than Amsterdam at the bars so watch out if your there with your family if your on your own thats different mater lol .. the wild wadi is something ell's weather there is fantastic very hot and when i went a few years ago cigarettes were �3 a sleeve

Off with a few mates and yeah I've heard that pr0stitutes like to loiter in hotel bars in search of rich Russian men there!

Looked up cigs prices on the airplane we're flying on, 200 Marlboro for �6.87. Feel the bootlegging
