I'm guessing its 2 photos of the horse in 2 positions merged together. Pretty well done if it is!

It is 2 horses.
No tricks. No nothing. Just cropped in CS2 because the was too much field in the original. plus tweaked in levels to bring some colour back.
No trickery.
