New to photography?

Does anyone know any good books out there that i could read, as i am new to photography! Well not entirely, ive used various digital camaras over the years, but ive just baught a Canon EOS 3000V 35-mm camera



and the thing with digital cameras is, that for most they are all automatic (Unless you pay top brass out for a SLR digital camera) so over the years, ive not realy learned anything about taking photos! Thats why ive gone with this model. In the future, i will be definitely getting a digital SLR, but for now ill be sticking with this one, as it is in my price range.

This model only cost me £107 inc P&P and for the equivalent digital model (EOS 350D) your looking at £300 - £450! So a huge difference in price. Also, at jessops, it only costs me £2.99 to have my 35mm photos converted to digital images, then put onto a CD.

Anyway, back to my original question! Does anyone know of any good books on either SLR photography or just general all-round photography! hopefully ebooks/PDFs which i can download!
