ds lite games on ds consoles

I've tried a search but have failed.

I've purchased quite a number of R4's which as everyone has indicated is quite special indeed. Thanks to Glen for the next day delivery. Top chap!

My intension is to introduce the in laws kids and friends to the R4 but foolishly, I have forgotten that they have the DS version not the DS lite.

Sooo... does ds lite games play on DS before I go sticking aload of games on their memory card?

Yes all DS Lite games are in fact DS games.

The difference was the hardware is lighter, smaller, better looking but no new features.
