Phone wont receive calls but will receive texts

My m8 just bought a phone off someone else, both are on vodaphone, model is nokia 8800 scirroco.

She can send and receive text mesages but if someone phones her nothing happens then she gets a text saying she missed a call (its not a sound problem).

Anyone know wot the problem might be?

Do barred phones still get texts? Check the divert settings.

defo sounds like its blacklisted from networks and some do allow u to send texts

Ring vodafone up and ask if the phone is blacklisted by giving them the IMEI number, sure way to get a definate answer.

Barred Voda fones CAN still text.

I would say its deffo barred, however getting a text about a missed call makes it interesting - your friends just be done if it is tho.
